TO WAX? OR NOT TO WAX?
We get this question a lot. Whilst growing, apples naturally form a waxy exterior to protect it from elements in the orchard. As we wash and softly scrub the apple after harvest, it loses this natural wax. For this reason, we apply a food-grade wax to protect its skin and retain moisture so it’s in top condition when it gets to your home.
Store your apples in a refrigerator so they stay crispy for longer!
