Loved for their creamy texture and smooth, buttery taste the avocado
has gained global popularity due to their high nutritional content –
specifically their high levels of monounsaturated ‘good’ fat.
Longer and more elongated than the Hass, The Shepard avocado is characterised by its smooth, glossy green skin which remains green even when ripe.

CHOOSING ‘THE ONE’
Many of our customers ask us when an avocado is ripe to eat. The best way to tell is to give it a little squeeze – a ripe avocado should yield to firm, gentle pressure, but shouldn’t feel overly soft or mushy.
To speed up the ripening process, place avocado
in a brown paper bag with an apple or banana.
